About/Contact

My name is Melissa.  Before moving here, I thought New York City was scary. Why? Probably the same reason most people do: movies and television.  Well, after moving here, I have proven to myself that it isn’t scary. Maybe a little intimidating, but not scary.  Talking with family and friends back in the midwest, I can tell they still have the same reservations.

So here it is.  This blog contains my take on experiences I’ve had and I’ll be adding more, so please check back. If you live in NYC or have visited, I encourage you to leave a comment.

Also, if you have never been or have questions or find anything to be unclear, please leave a comment or email me!

I moved to New York in May of 2007 from Springfield, Missouri.  I currently live in Manhattan and work in Midtown.

  1. New York people are very friendly. I lived here all my life. At the same time, will not hesitate to tell someone off.
